What is a gallery?
A gallery is a way to show off multiple images in one post.

How do I add images to my gallery?
After you fill out the title, description, and desired advanced options, click the “Add Photos” button. A new window will pop up showcasing images on your hard drive. Check any photos that you want to add, and hit the “Send” button. Another box will pop up telling you the status. Click “OK” and your photos will be added. You can now caption them, just be sure to click “Save Gallery” at the bottom of the page before continuing.

Nothing happened when I clicked “Add Photos,” what is going on?
First make sure that your gallery has a title field, it is required for all galleries. Next make sure you let the image uploader load completely. If you are still having problems contact us at help@onsugar.com.

I re-sorted my photos, but it didn’t stick. What happened?
After you re-sorted, did you click the “Save Gallery” button? Before switching tabs, you need to be sure to click "Save," or any changes will be lost.

What does feature mean?
Selecting “Feature” next to one of your images in “Edit Photos” will make it the featured image for the gallery. This image will be the one shown whenever the gallery is referenced.

How do I delete a photo?
When editing a gallery, click on the “Edit Photos” tab. Check the delete box next to the photo you want to remove. Be sure to click the “Save Gallery” button at the bottom of the page in order to complete the action. When you go back to the gallery, the image will be gone.

How do I rearrange my photos?
When you’re editing your gallery, click on the “Sort Photos” tab. From there you just click and drag your pictures into your desired order. Or, if you just want to swap the order completely, click the “Reverse Order” link at the top of the page. Make sure you hit “Save Gallery” before navigating away.

How do I recaption a photo?
To recaption a photo, click on the “Edit Photos” tab while editing a gallery. Once there you can edit captions. Be sure to hit the “Save Gallery” button when you’re done.

Can I add more photos?
Absolutely!  To add more photos, click on the “Add Photos” tab while editing your gallery. Select the photos you wish to upload and click the “Send” button. The photos will then be added to your gallery.

How big should pics be?
Is there a limit to what is allowed, e.g. 400x600, 600x900?
Thanks in advance!

I'm trying to find the photo's that we can use from getty images... and any images that are available to us, where are those?

Manoukia - I'll ask the dev team about the file size of galleries. But you can actually use the images straight off your camera. However, right now, they only display at 550px wide.

Curlywhirl - When you're creating a post (you can't add them to galleries, only posts or spreads), click the little picture icon. That will pop open an image uploader. Here you can select your own images, getty images, coutorture editorial photos, and shopstyle images.

hope this helps!

Ok, thanks!

No use in uploading huge 2000x3000 files then that are ~1 Mb in size!

Oh, the one thing I forgot to mention, although the galleries only display at 550px wide, when you're in gallery mode you can click on it and it will open the larger image.

I have a gallery started but cannot figure out how to include links to the images I've selected so if someone were to click on the photo, they could go to the appropriate website. Help!

The galleries images actually click open to their largest version. What you could do is create a caption (those show up below the images) that links back to the appropriate place. To create captions, edit your gallery. Then click the "edit photos" tab.

@caderina - you can resize the image by playing with the html in a post, but the galleries are all 550wide and can't be changed

@dellaranks - you add images by clicking on the gallery tab, and then clicking add images button at the bottom. once you're there you'll select which images to use

@elicialin - click on "new post" from your blog's dropdown menu, and then click on the gallery tab. this is how you create a new gallery

@joannamovealong - you can upload more than one photo using the gallery type post, a regular post will only let you upload one at a time

@lovehearts - once you have a gallery post created, edit it like normal, and then click on the "edit photos" tab - if you're talking about the "Your Images" tab, you can't edit that, those are just quick references to images you've recently uploaded

@YuuKi - start a gallery by clicking on "new post" in your drop down menu. then click on the "Gallery" tab to select a gallery type of post.
